A particular trend has come to my attention lately, and that’s getting knocked up and then getting married. Every magazine I see seems to be focusing on some new rising star getting pregnant before marriage. We have Nicole Richie, Jamie Spears, Jessica Alba, Ashlee Simpson, and the list goes on. Don’t get me wrong here, I am not religious nor do I hold marriage to the heights that some others do, I just don’t see the point in getting married. It almost makes me ask the question, are people getting married to avoid raising a ‘bastard’? Or, are shotgun weddings just the new black?
